EXCITING NEWS!
The Good Deeds Cup is a national contest for the peewee team that has the best season both on and off the ice. To enter, teams did various Good Deeds around their communities and documented them on film. A short video was submitted to Chevrolet and Hockey Canada.
Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association’s very own PNW Group Peewee house league team worked very hard on this. They volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, the Whitehorse Food Bank, Share the Spirit, sang at a local nursing home, shovelled driveways, walked dogs and even played a game in honour of Movember.
As a result of this hard work, the PNW team are now semifinalists in the Good Deeds Cup. Just for making it this far, they won $2000 for the Whitehorse Food Bank.
The top prize is $15000 for the Whitehorse Food Bank.
The PNW team needs your help!
It’s now a community wide competition. On January 15, voting will begin for the semifinalists. The PNW Team’s video will be on the Chevrolet Canada YouTube channel. A view will equal a vote. They need everyone to watch the video as much as possible and to share the link on their websites and social media.
Semifinalists round is January 15-29.
