2023-2024 Program Details and Division Overviews

The information below will give you a baseline understanding of what each division's basic scheduling may be for the upcoming season. These are subject to change slightly based on registration numbers and ice availability.

U7 (Tykes/Timbits) Born 2017, 2018 5&6 years old

2 ice times per week for approximately 25 weeks 

Practices: 2 x 45 minute ice times per week. Combined into skills and fun games.

Games occasionally usually once per month

Tykes will be on half ice at the CGC with rink dividers.  

U9 (Novice) Born 2015, 2016  7&8 years old

3 ice times per week for approximately 25 weeks

Game: 1 x hour ice time per week 

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week 

Skills: 1 x 45 minute ice time per week *included in registration cost

U9 games will be on half ice at the CGC with rink dividers.

U11 (Atom) Born 2013, 2014  9&10 years old

3 ice times per week for approximately 25 weeks

Game: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week 

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week 

Skills: 1 x 45 minute ice time per week *included in registration cost

U11 Junior Mustangs Program Information

U13 (Pee Wee) Born 2011, 2012 11&12 years old

2 ice times per week for approximately 25 weeks

Games: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week 

Skills (optional) $250: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week 

3 ice times when optional skills is chosen 

U15 (Bantam) Born 2009, 2010  13&14 years old

2 ice times per week for approximately 25 weeks

Games: 1 x 1.25 hour ice time per week

Practice: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week 

Skills (optional) $250: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week*

3 ice times when optional skills is chosen

U18 (Midget) Born 2006,2007,2008  15,16 &17 years old

Game: 2 x 1.25 hour ice time per week for approximately 25 weeks

Skills (optional) $250: 1 x 1 hour ice time per week *

UPDATED MUSTANGS B INFORMATION TO COME! CHECK BACK SOON! 

*All players on in the  Mustangs B  Program MUST BE PLAYING ON ANOTHER WHITEHORSE MINOR HOCKEY TEAM. You can NOT just attend Mustangs B ice times, games or functions.

All Mustangs A and B "teams" are operated under the Whitehorse Minor Hockey umbrella

U13/U15/U18/Female Mustangs A Program Information

All players must register in their respective division with WHITEHORSE MINOR HOCKEY asap and then register to TRYOUT FOR THE MUSTANGS on the Whitehorse Minor Hockey website. If your player is successful in making the Mustangs you will then have to register for Skills Option if you have not already done so. No players playing Mustangs A Hockey will be permitted on a skills session skate until their skills fees have been paid. There is a $100 fee to try out for the Mustangs.

For the upcoming season WHMHA is endeavouring the provide Mustangs teams in the following divisions; U13, U15, U18 and FEMALE U18. This offering will be based on player registration and interest as well as COVID-19 restrictions and travel guidelines-so please ensure you indicate your interest early by registering for the appropriate Mustangs Tryouts so we can plan accordingly.
